General Information
Azzalure is a botulinum toxin type-A specifically designed for use in aesthetic indications. Azzalure is indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (vertical lines between the eyebrows) seen at frown, in adult patients under 65 years, when the severity of these lines has an important psychological impact on the patient.
Indications for Azzalure Injections

Children under 18 and adults over 65 should also not use this product - Anyone with an infection on the skin surface at the proposed injection site should wait for the infection to completely disappear first
- There is a probable muscle weakness(myasthenia gravis) already present then do not use Azzalure either. The following diseases and conditions should also rule out the use of this medicine: Eaton Lambert syndrome and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (degenerative nerve muscle disorder)
Side Effects
In some cases, Azzalure leads to the appearance of certain side effects. Among the most common suspected adverse reactions to the product are:
- Localised muscle weakness around the treatment area;
- Common injection site reactions of the skin (including redness, itching, and swelling);
- Temporary paresis of facial muscles proximal to areas of the treatment;
- Light bruising around the proposed injection sites;
- Headache;
- Nausea;
- Pain or discomfort;
- And so on.
Moreover, a vast majority of patients who have undergone an injection of Azzalure claim to experience exaggerated muscle weakness for the first several days after the treatment.
Just like excessive muscle weakness, most frequent undesirable reactions that are mentioned above tend to disappear on their own within one week after the treatment and do not require any medical supervision.
