Revanesse® Shape Lidocaine

General Information

Revanesse® Shape+ Lidocaine is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler manufactured by Prollenium Medical Technologies Inc., Canada. It is formulated as a highly viscous gel designed to restore facial volume, improve facial contours and address moderate to deep facial wrinkles and folds.

The product contains 25 mg/ml of cross-linked hyaluronic acid and 0.3% lidocaine (3 mg/ml) in a phosphate-buffered saline solution. The hyaluronic acid helps restore volume and provide structural support, while lidocaine helps reduce discomfort during treatment.

Revanesse Shape+ Lidocaine is supplied in pre-filled sterile syringes. A commonly marketed presentation contains 2 x 1.2ml syringes and 2 sterilized 27G needles. Pack contents may vary according to the regional product version.

Indications

Revanesse Shape+ Lidocaine is intended for professional aesthetic treatments, including:

• Correction of moderate to deep facial wrinkles and folds.
• Restoration of facial volume lost through ageing or lipoatrophy.
• Enhancement of facial contours, including the cheeks, chin and jawline, where permitted by the applicable instructions.
• Improvement of selected facial depressions and contour irregularities.
• Support for facial volume restoration and definition.

Contraindications and Precautions

The product should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine or other product components, or a history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding patients or individuals under 18 years of age.

Treatment should be avoided in areas with active skin infection, inflammation or significant skin disease. It should not be injected into blood vessels, the eye contours, or areas containing permanent fillers or implants. Particular caution is required in patients with bleeding disorders, anticoagulant therapy, autoimmune conditions or multiple severe allergies.

Revanesse Shape+ Lidocaine is intended for professional intradermal use and must only be administered by appropriately trained healthcare professionals.

Potential Side Effects

Possible side effects include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, pain, itching, bruising and discoloration at the injection site. Firmness, nodules, prolonged inflammation or hypersensitivity reactions may also occur.

Rare but serious complications include vascular occlusion, tissue necrosis, visual impairment and other tissue damage. Unusual pain, skin blanching or vision changes during or after treatment require immediate medical attention.
