General Information
ELLANSÉ® S is an injectable collagen-stimulating dermal implant developed by Sinclair. It combines immediate volume correction with gradual stimulation of the body’s natural collagen production. Unlike conventional hyaluronic acid fillers, ELLANSÉ® S uses polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres suspended in a carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) gel carrier.
The formulation contains 30% PCL microspheres and 70% CMC-based carrier gel. The gel provides an initial volumising effect, while the PCL microspheres encourage collagen formation over time, helping improve skin structure and facial volume.
ELLANSÉ® S is designed for subdermal implantation in the face to correct wrinkles and visible signs of facial ageing. Its expected duration of effect is approximately 12 months, although individual results may vary depending on patient characteristics and treatment factors.

Contraindications and Precautions

It should not be used in individuals with a history of anaphylaxis or multiple severe allergies, known hypersensitivity to any component, active skin infection or inflammation, susceptibility to keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring, active or previous autoimmune disease, or active sepsis. Current cortisone treatment is also identified as a contraindication in the manufacturer’s safety information.
ELLANSÉ® should not be injected into the glabella or periorbital region, including the eyelids, under-eye area and crow’s feet, because of the risk of vascular complications and vision loss. Its safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established.
Potential Side Effects
Possible temporary reactions include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching, discomfort and lumps at the injection site. Less common complications may include persistent nodules, inflammatory reactions, infection and hypersensitivity.
Rare but serious complications include vascular occlusion, tissue necrosis and visual impairment. Immediate medical assessment is essential if unusual pain, skin blanching or visual changes occur.
